Arizona Highways Magazines 1960-1998
     (go to 1943-1959 issues)
(This website is not affiliated with Arizona Highways magazine)
Arizona Highways was entirely in black and white, except for some December issues, until 1944.  Some color and full-color illustrations appeared in every issue from the late forties onward.  The first issue completely in color was December 1946.  Issues used about 1/4 to 1/2 black and white photos until the 1970s.  From that point onward, issues are nearly entirely in full color except for the occasional photos in history articles.
Condition of the back issues
All are dusty and a bit faded, having been stored in a garage for many years.  All are worn on the fold edge--they almost seem to come this way new.  The magazine has always been bound with center staples.
     All issues are complete.

     Definitions of terms and abbreviations:
"excellent" -- no defects other than reasonable signs of age
"good" -- signs of use and only minor defects
"fair" -- some defects as indicated by abbreviations below
"poor" -- serious defects, "reading copies," reduced price

     Abbreviations:
cs --  cover scuffed
m --  marked or written on (usually signed by previous owner or dated on the cover; some 1940s had no issue date on cover so owners would add a written notation; 1944 has large magic marker dates on cover;  "m" does NOT mean scribbling or library stamps)
ss --  slightly soiled
st --  a small tear in cover or pages
wr -- wrinkled slightly due to water damage
ws -- slightly water stained
wd -- heavy water damage but pages not stuck together

Order by month and year of issue.            Prices include shipping.  Our lowest prices are based on the cost of postage, so some issues are priced lower if you order more than one item from this website.  Limited number of copies available (mostly one each) so you might want to indicate substitutions.     All 'zines are 9 inches by 12 inches size.
